Nitish Pires is a modern Hindi rock artist, filmmaker and storyteller whose work moves between the power of sound and the language of cinema. Raw, emotional and unapologetically independent, his music combines powerful melodies, hard-hitting guitars and honest storytelling with the energy of a performer built for the stage.
Live, Nitish is a high-energy powerhouse. His performances are driven by intensity, spontaneity and a genuine connection with the audience—turning songs into experiences and stages into spaces where artist and crowd become part of the same moment.
But his creative journey extends far beyond music.
As an independent artist, Nitish has taken work created outside the conventional mainstream onto some of India's most respected platforms. His independently produced and self-promoted rock album earned recognition at the prestigious GIMA, marking an important milestone for an artist who has consistently chosen to build his own path.
That same independent spirit carried into cinema. Nitish went on to create the feature-length film Vaimanik largely as a one-man creative endeavour—taking on multiple aspects of its creation himself. The film was subsequently selected for the prestigious International Film Festival of India (IFFI), bringing his storytelling to an international festival platform.
Few creative journeys move so naturally between a guitar and a camera.
For Nitish, however, they are simply two ways of doing the same thing: telling a story. Music gives those stories sound; cinema gives them images. Together, they have shaped an artist whose identity cannot be contained by a single medium.
